Hey everyone,
I hope you're all having a great week! Hope that quarantine isn't being too rough on all of you. As for me, I'm going a little bit stir-crazy inside since I haven't really been seeing other people in person in weeks, but it's all good we'll make it through this! Remember that I'm always here for you for whatever you need, anytime!! Anyway, let's get right into this week's topic!
This week I want to talk again about self-care in a bit of a different context. I have shared some of my self-care tips here before, but this week I specifically want to focus on the idea of letting ourselves get enough rest and relaxation and not overworking or overwhelming ourselves too much. I'm pretty guilty of that if I'm being honest; total work-aholic over here! But that's all the more reason why I'm making this post.
I feel that being in quarantine for these past few weeks has helped me slow down a bit and reflect more on my life, as it is doing for many of us. It's helped me to realize that it's okay to stay in sometimes and just have some quiet nights to myself. I'm a bit more appreciative now of taking some time just to do what I love and focus on myself. And perhaps most importantly, I've come to realize that in order to be productive I don't need to always pack every second of every day with the feeling that I am "doing something". Sometimes, doing "nothing" is the greatest activity of all, since it can help us to look inward and reflect on a deeper level than ever before... leading us to some brand-new revelations that might just change up our lives!
And with everything going on, I truly do feel that the world is in a time period right now where we all need to take a step back, take a breath, and realize that we all might need to slow down just a bit. Our hyper-fast paced, ultra-productive lives might be great in short bursts, but when we're constantly exhausting ourselves all day every day, as so many of us are, is this really sustainable in the long run? I feel that this time we are going through is forcing us to re-evaluate that and truly think about it. Maybe this is giving us an opportunity to change the world in ways that are so needed.
In a self-care sense, I have been starting to feel better and more relaxed then I have in quite a long time. I've started to reconnect with my inner self on a deeper level, and to really access my inner centers of joy, peace, love, and abundant freedom. And I feel that this will keep getting better and better! In that vein, however, I'm going to wrap up this blog post here. I know that this was a bit of a shorter one, but this ties into my theme of placing more emphasis on rest and relaxation and self-compassion.
I love writing this blog with all my heart, I truly do, but every so often even I need to have a quieter and more relaxing night where I can just focus on myself and on looking inward to get to know my own soul a bit deeper. I think we can all benefit from that. And I have a good feeling that you all are doing this as well, which really makes me so happy to see! So, share your stories with me, I want to know all about what you are doing to take good care of yourselves and use this time to look inward a bit more, and to grow more as a person.
Alright, keep staying strong and doing amazing! Reach out to me with anything you would like to share for me to feature here. Keep being your amazing selves! I'm sending all of you infinite love, hugs, happiness, and positivity! Always be kind to yourselves and to others. And remember, I'm ALWAYS here!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!! :) <3
Your friend forever,
