My Story Part 17/20: Facing My Fears!!

Here is Part 17 of my story!! :)

Hey everyone, here is Part 17 of my story!!!! :)

In the last part, I talked about how I have been learning to accept myself and make peace with my story. In this part, I am going to be taking things a step further, and talking about how I have been facing my fears in order to move past them. I said at the beginning of this story that one main reason why I am sharing this with all of you is to get more comfortable with being vulnerable and real and being my authentic, genuine self. Let’s take a deeper dive into that.

Sharing this story with you over these past couple of weeks has made me feel extremely vulnerable in some spots, and for much of my life that has been a source of fear for me. Being real and sharing our authentic selves is really scary for so many of us, me included. I feel fears like, what if people don’t want to see this side of me? What if people think I’m weird for sharing all of this, or even just for having the feelings I have been talking about? What if... this drives people away? One of my greatest fears in life has always been pushing away those I care about.

But sharing my story this way has been a real exercise in my strength and confidence!! Through all of this I am learning to be not only more kind to and accepting of myself, but also more proud of my story than ever before!! I do feel ready to face my fears. I’m learning to love being open and vulnerable and sharing the deep parts of myself with the world. And I’m learning to love myself so much that I can be proud of this story no matter what anyone else says or thinks. It’s a beautiful journey, and one I am very glad to be on :)

Going forward I am going to continue facing my fears, and each and every day I am going to work on loving myself more so I can share that love with the world!! In the last three parts of this story we’re going to get ready to do just that, and we are going to tie everything together to see just how wonderful this life is. I can’t wait to share that with all of you!!
