Happy 4th Of July!! :)

Hey everyone!!

Hope you are all doing well! Happy Friday, and happy early 4th Of July! It's hard to believe that tomorrow is Independence Day once again, I hope you are all looking forward to celebrating! Of course, this year's Fourth Of July is going to look quite different from the ones that we are used to, but let's still do our best to make the most of it. That's why for this week's post, I thought I'd share some tips on how we can still have a great holiday and some fun in the summer sun! :)

First thing's first, we must do our best to keep ourselves and everyone around us safe for the holiday. The Fourth Of July is usually a time for pool parties, barbecues, seeing friends and family, watching fireworks, and lots more summer fun, and there are definitely ways that we can still make some of that happen! But please make sure that no matter what you do, you put into practice safety measures to keep those around you safe as well as to protect yourself from coronavirus.

Please be sure to wear a mask as much as you possibly can whenever you're around anyone who you don't immediately live with, and also to socially distance if you are going out. I know it's hard, especially when we are around the people that we love most and haven't seen in awhile, but it's very important that we try to stay at least six feet apart from each other to stay safe. Again, I know it's annoying and sometimes very difficult to do these things, but it's worth it to protect the ones that we love. We must keep going with this and stay strong, I believe that together we will beat this virus as long as we keep doing what is right for those around us and all of our fellow citizens!

On that note, I do want to share that I feel that one of the best ways you can celebrate our country this Independence Day is by doing just that. By working together and making some small sacrifices, such as wearing a mask when you are outside and making sure not to get too close to anyone else, I believe that is the way that we can act the most patriotically in this time. By thinking of the greater good for our fellow Americans so that we can come together and beat this virus and save more lives from being taken from us, we must keep doing all that we can, especially since the virus seems to be on the rise again in many states. I know this is disheartening, but remember that YOU have the power to help! So please make sure you are doing your part, it is very much appreciated by everyone around you! :)

Of course, when we think about acting patriotically this Independence Day, a lot of different things probably come to mind about our country that are not so pleasant, especially during a time like this. With social injustice and other difficult challenges unfortunately running rampant, it may feel that the last thing we should be doing is "celebrating" this country right now. And of course, it is true that we must not celebrate all of those horribly painful things that are going on right now. But most importantly, we must remember that the United States Of America stands for SO MUCH MORE than all of that. It may feel in these times, when we are being bombarded by all kinds of news stories and social media posts about everything bad and stressful that is going on, like there is nothing else left to focus on about our country. But we must not let that get to us or take down the valiant spirit that still shines within this nation!

We are the Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave, forever and always. And I know that whatever happens, we will continue to FIGHT for what is RIGHT, and that TOGETHER we will overcome all of this injustice. But we must stay UNITED, that is the key to making it out of this, and winning for good!! We are strong, we are resilient, and we are amazing individually, we must always remember this, but we must also know that it is when we learn to CONNECT with our fellow citizens, that is when the real greatness will happen! So please remember that in this time now more than ever, keep your hope and your spirit burning bright, and keep moving forward. We will make it!! And that is something that we can celebrate. We have been through a lot as a nation, and we have a long, LONG way to go, but it will all be worth it, I truly believe that. And for now, I think it's okay to give ourselves permission to celebrate those victories that we have made in the past, to help inspire us to keep moving forward no matter what. :)

So, get out there and celebrate! Connect with those closest to you, have some fun, and enjoy some sun and some great food. Please remember to be safe, and take good care of yourselves and those around you by putting into practice the necessary safety measures. Wear a mask, social distance, and practice good hygiene as always. And of course, as you do all of this, CELEBRATE the spirit of unity, connection, hope, and LOVE that will take us forward! Focus on all of the victories that we have achieved as a country, and think about what we can do to make our situation better for all of us. Remember the great power that each and every one of us have inside of us!! And, have some warm summer fun, and enjoy being alive!! :)
